Week of February 8th

Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and did some fun Super Bowl things!

Also if anyone has a box of tissue to spare we are running low in both rooms- thank you!

We are pretty much back to a normal schedule this week, which is a little sad because Catholic Schools Week was so fun!

Mass this week is on Wednesday for Ash Wednesday

Stations start on Friday- led by the 3rd and 6th grade this week

On Friday right before lunch we will celebrate Valentine's Day.  Remember we CANNOT have any candy/cookies/food of any kind in our valentines.

This week in...

Reading:  We will read the story Juan Verdades: The Man who Couldn't Tell a Lie.  This is a folktale and is a really good story- also perfect for Valentine's Day because Juan falls in love with a girl named Araceli.  We know the boys might not like it as much :) but there is a bet going on about the ranches! We will continue to work on theme this week!

Spelling:  Lesson 20.  This is a harder lesson this week.  We are spelling words with EI and IE so don;t forget about spelling city this week to practice.

Religion:  Lent and Chapter 7

4th LA: Finishing Verb Unit, quiz Tuesday, and then persuasive essays

5th LA: Finishing up Adjective Unit,  quiz Wednesday

4th SS:  Chapter 8,  No test this week but it will probably be early next week.

5th SS:  Chapter 7 lesson 2 and then lesson 3 which is the French and Indian War.
