Also if each 4th grade student could bring in an empty, any color, any kind 1 inch binder for social studies that would be most appreciated.  I have collected all of their letters and scrapbook pages and it would be a nice region tour memory to have all of them together for them to keep and look back on.  Thanks!  I will store them in the classroom until we are all done.

Good Evening!

This week in 4th grade we will be participating in our empathy lessons provided by Mrs. Waterman of the Downers Grove Township.  Mrs. Waterman is a life-skills teacher and presents some lessons on how to be a good friend, practicing empathy, walking in another person's shoes, and what is bullying.  She does an amazing job and the students always love what they have learned. She will come in every day this week except for Friday.

Speaking of Friday... Valentine's Day!  The students in 4th grade may bring in valentines or treats for the class.  Of course if they are going to bring something please make sure that each person in their class gets one.  We currently have 22 students in Mrs. Carbone's room and 22 students in Miss Winter's room.

We also have Olympic Fever!  We are keeping track of the previous day's events and results- we know not to look ahead at the results- Russia is almost a half a day ahead of us!  Most events are complete while we are in school so we have decided as a class not to spoil anything for others :)  We highly suggest downloading the free NBC Sochi Olympics App!
