We will finish the tour by writing a letter to a family member about all we have seen (worth 100 points).

Week of September 23rd

This week we will complete our IOWA Assessments.  Please make sure that everyone is getting a good night's sleep and eating a healthy breakfast.  Also please send your student with a healthy snack and some mints if you would like- they do help!

Due to testing this week we will not switch for classes until Thursday.  Homework will be lighter this week.  So this might be a good chance to get some extra independent reading in at home- they are devouring books here at school!

Spelling:  We are SKIPPING lesson 6 and will do lesson 7 this week.  We are going to save lesson 6 for the week of October 7th since it is a three day week and lesson 6 is a review lesson.

Religion:  The 10 Commandments.  We spend a lot of time on them in 4th grade- this is our big topic this year

Spirit Wear on Friday

We may wear our spirit wear on Friday (9/20) to celebrate our homecoming football game on Sunday which will be played at Montini.  Students can wear a plain white or green top or anything that says St. Joseph (SJS) on it.  However we will still wear normal uniform bottoms- navy blue pants or shorts or wear your spirit wear shirt over your jumper.

Also as a reminder the students will have a science quiz, language arts quiz, and a math quiz tomorrow.  They should have everything they need to study for each of them.  We will also have our normal Friday spelling test.

Thanks and happy almost weekend!

Mid Week Notes

Good Morning!

Don't forget that tomorrow the Scholastic Book order is due.  If you are ordering online our access code is:

1FQVA

Also we have been having some problems with our pencil bags this year.  Many students have the plain black one from the supply pack which is great but when we leave them in another room and they do not have a name on them its super hard to recognize! It is also hard to write a name on them since they are dark fabric.  So we told the students it might be a good idea to put a small key chain or a ribbon (kinda like luggage!) on the zipper pull.  This way they can be easily recognized!

Have a great day!!
