Week of February 17th

Happy President's Day!

The 4th graders discussed the importance and Presidents Day on Friday.  We will also be discussing the importance of Black History Month throughout the rest of February.

We will also continue keeping track of Olympic Medals, but will return back to our region tour for the 4th graders and US History for the 5th graders.  We had a lot of fun discussing the history of the Olympics!

Also please turn your permission slips in for our field trip as soon as you can- we are very excited to go to the Chicago History Museum.  It fits in so well with our region tour.  Right now we will be touring the Midwest and take a long stop in Illinois to learn all about our state.  The Chicago History Museum will expand on our Illinois knowledge!

Also thank you for all the thoughtful notes, flowers, and Valentine Day treats!  We felt very special!
