Week of February 4th
Good Morning 4th Grade Families,
Another fun and busy week! We have our field trip to the Tivoli Theater to see our play about Rosa Parks on Wednesday. Students will wear their uniforms. This Friday, the 8th, it is an out of uniform day for those students who attended mass in their uniform a few weeks ago and turned in their pass. We have the passes and will remind students this week who we have passes from. Also a friendly reminder that our detention policy starts this week. We had a refresher course in behavior and I know all 4th graders are working on their talking out of turn habit!
This week in:
Reading: We are completing a fact and opinion project on a famous person. Each student has a biography on their person and will be making a flip book.
Social Studies: We are finishing up chapter 6 and are looking at a test sometime next week- Tuesday?? Wednesday??
Language Arts: Verbs- action words, linking, tense of, and irregular verbs!
Math: More multiplication.... estimation and creating area models
Science: Light and Sound
Religion: Our question is how can we help build our communities and be a part of one?
Spelling: Lesson 20! Yikes this is a hard one! We have decided to split the test. The first 10 words (students know which ones) will be given on Wednesday and the last 10 will be given on Friday.
